International Students’ Council formed
Suryadatta inaugurated Suryadatta International Educational & Cultural Centre on 10th October 2013, by Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya, Founder President & Chairman of Suryadatta Group of Institutes at its Bavdhan Campus.
The general plight of Indian students going abroad, in the chairman’s mind, resulted in the formation of International students’ council at Suryadatta. Indian Students going abroad lack guidance support, moral support. A non belonging feeling grips in.
Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya could empathise with foreign students studying in India and therefore established a common forum under SURYADATTA INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL & CULTURAL CENTRE (SIECC) to facilitate the International Students’ stay and to help them to gain initial grounding for studies and stay. Suryadatta’s Gesture of parenting will be a concreting bond factor for Suryadatta, Pune and India at large between all these foreign Nationals. Such facility is available in only select few Institutes. In India , Pune is the Hub for Education. The International students prefer studying in Pune. At the same time, they need support in their social & personal activities so that they can perform better. This approach will also help to increase the number of International students coming to Pune for studying.
Students from South Sudan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Sudan, Eritrean, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, etc., studying in different Institutes /colleges in Pune attended the function. They were taken aback with pleasant surprise when they were welcomed with Indian traditional style of ‘Aarti, Tilak, flowers & shawl’. All the students gathered were happy & appreciated Suryadatta Group of Institutes for forming such Council for sharing, caring & developing belonginess so that they are more comfortable physically, mentally & emotionally to give their best in Academics & co-curricular activities to make optimum use of time during their stay in India.
They were highly impressed with state of art Bavdhan campus which is aesthetically designed to create an unique ambience and to ensure holistic development of the students.
The function began with viewing the corporate film of Suryadatta, they were given a brief introduction about Suryadatta Group of Institutes and Dr. Sanjay B Chordiya explained to them the purpose of forming this center for International students. He assured them that irrespective of institute where they are studying, Suryadatta will help them whenever they need a helping hand. They may treat Suryadatta as a ‘Home Away from Home’ apart from being a center of excellence for higher education. He appealed to them that the Institute has so much to offer, knowledge & Culture wise that it is up to them to absorb & take with them. He offered them to use Suryadatta’s ‘Incubation Centre’ facility to germinate their entrepreneurial ideas & then to expand it in their own country.
