Extensive Industry Interface - Industry Visit
Under the Global Educational Harmony Program, students & teachers of the Suryadatta Institutes of Management are on a study tour at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand
Pune: Under the Global Educational Harmony Program, a nine-day study tour of students and teachers from Suryadatta Institutes of Management to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has been organized from October 18 to 26, 2024. The team has recently arrived in Thailand. As part of the global harmony program, the visit to AIT will span four days, including guest lectures by expert professors at AIT, a campus tour, networking, and visits to industries such as Robert Bosch and Siam Cement Group. There will also be a two-day cultural exchange in Pattaya, followed by visits to a Buddhist temple and the floating market,
To promote mutual academic cooperation and research, Suryadatta Group of Institutes recently signed an MoU with the Asian Institute of Technology. The purpose of this agreement is to foster student and faculty exchange, capacity building, and other mutually beneficial initiatives. This study tour is organized under that agreement. Through this Global Harmony Program, students will experience a unique blend of educational harmony, industrial exposure, and cultural enrichment in the vibrant city of Bangkok. This will provide them with a comprehensive, enriching, and transformative academic experience, as well as opportunities for cultural harmony and career growth. It is also expected that the program will give students the skills and insights needed to thrive in the rapidly changing global business environment, stated Professor Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya.
Outbound Leadership Program to Goa was organised for PG Management students & Staff members of Suryadatta Institutes of Management from 29th Sept to 4th Oct 2024
Suryadatta Institutes of Management, Pune organised an Outbound leadership program to Goa for its students and staff members from 29th Sept to 4th Oct, 2024. This outbound leadership program was organised to provide the students with a unique blend of academic immersion, industry experience and cultural enrichment in the vibrant city of Goa.
The outbound leadership program included Guest session of Brig Kiran Kumar Thacker (Retd) who has retired from the GRENADIERS regiment of the Indian Army in 2016 and an alumnus of the esteemed National Defence Academy Pune, Indian Military Academy Dehradun; Guest session of Mr Shashwat Gupta Ray, Deputy Editor, Herald Group of Publications, Goa. The students had opportunity to visit companies such as Smartlink Holdings, Automobile Corporation of Goa Ltd, City Aluminium, Prudent Press office, Elegant offset printing Press, etc, and also to Goa museum, spice plantation, etc.
In short, the study tour to Goa was a comprehensive, enriching, and transformative educational experience for students to have a sustainable career ahead. This programme provided Universal Human values, holistic experience, and insights needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving landscape of global business.

Suryadatta Institute Of Management students visited National Stock Exchange, Bandra, Mumbai with an objective to learn the functioning of National Stock Exchange, Mumbai and to have the plan for successful investment, their effective savings and intellectual savings and generate additional revenue.
The officials from NSE and NSE Academy, helped the students in understanding the overview of the SIP, Portfolio management, Investments, Mid cap and large cap shares.
The session included lectures on ‘Overview of the Exchange’, ‘Capital Markets’, ‘Derivative Markets’ and ‘NSE Academy’s Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM)’. In this session, the students learned about stock exchange structure, its operations, products traded on it , Futures and options, Margin money , Price Discovery in Markets and so on.

AI Immersion Certification Program by UpGrad Venue: CII, Central Skill Centre, Mumbai Objective of the visit was to gain an in-depth understanding of generative AI and prompt engineering techniques, along with exploring potential AI applications.

Visit to Ayurved Rasshala
Students visited Ayurved Rasashala to explore the manufacturing of Ayurvedic formulations such as Asava, Arishta, Choorna, and Bhasma. Under the guidance of Rasashala experts, students observed raw material storage, tablet compression, liquid filling, and traditional preparation techniques. They were introduced to both traditional and modern equipment, including hammer mills, liquid filling machines, and Kupipakwa systems. The visit highlighted GMP adherence, hygiene, and the integration of classical Ayurvedic methods with contemporary pharmaceutical practices.


Visit to Everest Pharma
Students visited Everest Ayurvedic Pharma, Dhayari, Pune, to explore Ayurvedic manufacturing processes, GMP practices, and regulatory compliance. They observed the production of syrups, tablets, powders, and cosmetic products in a hygienic, controlled environment under expert guidance. The visit provided insights into raw material handling, in-process quality checks, final product testing, and the importance of PPE and SOP adherence. Students also learned about third-party manufacturing and loan licensing, highlighting their role in cost-efficiency and regulatory management.


Visit to pharmaceutical Wholesalers & Distributors - Jeevan Medisales Pvt. Ltd., Kale Pharmaceuticals, etc
D. Pharm students visited four pharmaceutical distributors with the objective of gaining firsthand exposure to the real-world operations of wholesale and distribution in the pharmaceutical sector. During the visit, students learned about inventory management, order processing, billing systems, cold storage practices, and the legal documentation involved in pharmaceutical distribution. They also observed how medicines are handled, stored, and dispatched, gaining insight into the critical role of distributors in ensuring timely and safe delivery of pharmaceutical products to retailers and healthcare providers.


Visit to Parekh Imperial Logistics LLP & Parekh Medisales Pvt Ltd
Students visited Parekh Imperial Logistics LLP to gain insights into pharmaceutical supply chain management and C&F operations. Guided by the industry experts, the students explored storage zones, cold chain logistics, expired medicine disposal, and the safe use of machinery. The visit emphasized GMP, SOPs, quality control, regulatory compliance, and analytical techniques. Students also learned about manpower planning, packaging protocols, and the critical role of logistics in timely medicine delivery.

Visit to Nulife Pharmaceuticals
The visit enhanced students’ understanding of proper production practices, pharmaceutical plant layout, formulation techniques for different dosage forms, quality control procedures, analytical testing methods, and the use of SOPs for calibrating and operating lab instruments.


Emcure Pharma Industrial visit of Pharmacy Students of SEF's Suryadatta College of Pharmacy Healthcare and Research, Pune
Second Year B. Pharmacy Students from SEF’s Suryadatta College of Pharmacy Healthcare and Research recently visited Emcure Pharma, a leading pharmaceutical company, to gain valuable insights into the industry.
The day began with an informative presentation by Mr. Bhushan Ahire from the HR department, who outlined the company’s history, mission, and commitment to innovation in healthcare. Joining him were key members of the Emcure team, Mr. Om Nanda, QA, Mrs. Chandra Kumar, HR Head, OSD unit. Students were engaged and eager to learn about the various departments and processes that contribute to the development of pharmaceutical products.

As part of practical exposure and industry interaction, the Hotel Management students visited Bright Land Resort in Mahabaleshwar. The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of real-time hotel operations, guest services, and hospitality management practices.
At Bright Land Resort, students explored various departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Service, and Kitchen Operations. The management team provided an insightful briefing on guest handling procedures, sustainability initiatives, and the resort’s approach to luxury hospitality in a natural setting.




Evershine Resort, Mahabaleshwar

As part of practical exposure and industry interaction, the Hotel Management students visited Evershine Resort in Mahabaleshwar. The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of real-time hotel operations, guest services, and hospitality management practices.
The visit to Evershine Resort, a Sterling property, showcased high standards of resort management and service excellence. Students were given a guided tour of the property, followed by interactive sessions with department heads. Emphasis was laid on guest satisfaction, staff training, and maintaining brand consistency across all services.
The exposure helped students gain practical knowledge, observe operational workflows, and interact with industry professionals, enriching their academic learning with on-ground experience.

The Hotel Management students had the opportunity to visit Inn Venue Hospitality Management Pvt. Ltd., a reputed organization known for its expertise in hospitality operations, consultancy, and hotel management services. The visit was organized to provide students with practical insights into the corporate and operational aspects of the hospitality industry.
During the visit, students were introduced to the company’s diverse portfolio, which includes hotel operations management, pre-opening services, staff training modules, and F&B consulting. The team at Inn Venue conducted an interactive session, highlighting the current trends, challenges, and innovations shaping the hospitality sector.
Students also learned about the importance of strategic planning, quality control, revenue management, and client relationship building in successful hotel management. Students toured key departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Kitchen Operations. The hotel’s management team conducted an interactive session on guest service excellence, brand standards, and career opportunities in the hospitality sector. Students observed real-time operations and gained first-hand exposure to professional hospitality practices in a reputed business-class hotel.
This educational tour significantly enhanced the students’ practical understanding of both beverage production and hotel operations, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.




Enchanted Garden Nursery

As part of the academic curriculum, the first-year Hotel Management students from Suryadatta College of Hospitality Management and Travel Tourism visited the Enchanted Garden Nursery to gain practical insights into sustainable landscaping, herb gardening, and decorative plant management relevant to the hospitality industry.
The visit was an experiential learning activity aimed at deepening students’ understanding of how greenery enhances aesthetic appeal and promotes environmental sustainability in hospitality spaces such as hotels and restaurants. The Enchanted Garden featured themed landscaping, eco-friendly installations, and interactive displays that illustrated innovative ways to incorporate nature into guest experiences.
During the visit, students explored key elements of ambiance creation, lighting, and sensory design that contribute to memorable hospitality environments. They also learned about the importance of plant care techniques for both indoor and outdoor settings, and how sustainable landscaping can be effectively integrated into hotel and restaurant design.


Sula Vineyard

As part of their academic enrichment and industry exposure, students from the Hotel Management department undertook an educational visit to Sula Vineyard, Nashik,.
At Sula Vineyard, students gained valuable insights into the wine-making process, including grape cultivation, fermentation, aging, bottling, and wine tasting techniques. The vineyard’s staff conducted an informative tour and explained the operational aspects of managing a winery, with a focus on hospitality, sustainability, and agritourism. Students also had the opportunity to observe various facilities such as the crushing unit, barrel storage, and tasting rooms.





Sula Vineyard visit
The Sula Vineyard visit was a resounding success, providing students with valuable hands-on experience and knowledge about the wine-making process, vineyard management, and the hospitality industry. SURYADATTA COLLEGE OF HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT AND TRAVEL TOURISM, PUNE's Industrial visit to Moonshine Meadery
Students of TY B.SC HS visited Moonshine Meadery Pune to understand the basic knowledge and operations at Meadery (Brewery). A garage project in 2014 to Asia’s & India’s first Meadery in 2018 – this is the journey of Rohan Rehani and Nitin Vishwas and the creation of Moonshine.
The major goal of the visit was to get practical understanding of the brewing process, which is an important part of the food and beverage business. Furthermore, the study tour sought to introduce students to real-world operations within a production plant, providing insights into quality control, safety standards, and environmental issues in the brewing business.


Visit at Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale
Students of SCMIRT visited the Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale manufacturing unit in Ranje, Maharashtra. The industrial visit offered valuable insights into the company’s automated production processes, customer satisfaction strategies, and quality management systems. Students observed the making of iconic products like Bakarwadi, with emphasis on hygiene and consistent quality. With a workforce of over 350 and a network of 75+ franchises, ChitaleBandhu remains a leader in the FMCG sector. The visit also highlighted the company’s focus on automation, sustainability, and employee welfare, enriching students’ understanding of modern industrial practices.


Suryadatta College of Management Information, Research & Technology (SCMIRT) Field Visit to 'UMED Pariwar' wadki Village, Hadapsar-Saswad Road, Pune.
The purpose of this field visit was to gain insights into the operations, programs, and impact of ‘UMED Pariwar’ an organization dedicated to supporting mentally retarded adults. This report outlines observations, interactions, and findings from the visit.
The students’ observations highlighted the NGO’s commitment to providing quality care and support for mentally retarded adults. Despite facing certain challenges, the organization effectively manages to create a nurturing and empowering environment for its residents. The visit offered meaningful learning experiences for the students and underscored the importance of continued support and development in the field of disability services


At Katraj Dairy , Students watched an AV of Katraj dairy for 15 minutes. It had all the basic information about Katraj Cooperative Pvt Ltd. Then, Students visited all the different sections including Chilling section, Furnace, Packaging, Cleaning section containers, Quality Testing section etc
At Chitale Bandhu Students watched the complete process of Bhakarwadi preparation. It was an awesome experience for them to see all the things through the glass cabinet. An AV of the process was shown at Chitale factory too.



Visit to Parag Milk Foods Pvt. Ltd. (Gowardhan Cheese Factory)
The students of the SIICS had the opportunity to visit Parag Milk Foods Pvt. Ltd., popularly known as the Gowardhan Cheese Factory. This industrial visit aimed to provide students with practical insights into entrepreneurship development, particularly focusing on how a product is developed, processed, and marketed at a commercial scale.
During the visit, students learned about:
- The latest high-tech machinery, many of which are imported and operated via advanced software systems that minimize contamination risks.
- The complete cheese production process — from milk collection to storage and packaging.
- Key systems like large-scale cheese processing units, automated packaging lines, and quality control mechanisms.
The visit left students inspired and informed, offering a real-world understanding of large-scale food processing and entrepreneurial operations.
Visit to Ganesh Hastakala Paithani
Purpose of Visit: To gain practical knowledge regarding the process involved in the Design Development, Dyeing procedure and Weaving techniques of
Heritage hand woven textiles of Maharashtra-Paithani. Students gained valuable insights about silk yarn varieties, degumming procedure, demonstration of dyeing the silk yarns, quality assurance of a product as per standards.
SIHS – COP: Practical Training / Exposure
Visit Primary Health Centre, Bhukkum, Mulshi, Pune
Students of Final year BPT were taken to the Primary Health Centre to provide students with real-world experience in assessing and managing patients in a rural or semi-urban healthcare setting, helping them understand the role of physiotherapy in primary care.
The sessions for Pregnant women, Breast-Feeding awareness, postural correction, post-pregnancy complications, and preventive physiotherapy practices in community health were conducted.
Visit to SAVALI – A shelter for Care
On the International Day of Person with Disability, students were taken to Savali which is a shelter for differently abled persons. The objective was to observe and understand the role of physiotherapy in the rehabilitation and maintenance of functional independence among the residents. And also to encourage compassionate care by interacting with individuals with disability and understanding their physical, emotional, and social needs. Students observed when the accompanying faculties assessed residents’ mobility and functional status, and suggested appropriate physiotherapeutic interventions under supervision.
Visit to Maha-Aarogya Shibir 2024
Students & faculty members participated in the Maha Aarogya Shibir organised at the Agricultural Grounds, Pune. The students got the opportunity to study the patients and under the guidance of the faculty physiotherapists, recommended appropriate physiotherapeutic interventions under supervision.
Free Physiotherapy Camp at Katarkhada
Students alongwith Physiotherapy Faculties went to Katarkhada and offered free Physiotherapy assessment and consultation. Students got an opportunity to identify common physical ailments prevalent in rural populations and suggested physiotherapy advice accordingly. Students could apply theoretical knowledge to real-life cases by conducting musculoskeletal and neurological assessments under faculty supervision.
Janaseva Foundation – Old age home
Physiotherapy students visited the Janaseva Foundation’s old age home and explored its OPD and ICU departments, gaining firsthand understanding of clinical procedures and rehabilitation practices. They observed the importance of physiotherapy in improving mobility and quality of life of the elderly citizens. The students also engaged in meaningful conversations with senior citizens, who warmly shared their health experiences and concerns. This interaction helped students connect theory with real-world challenges in geriatric care.
Visit to The Nature, Mukaiwadi, Pune
The Nature, nestled in the heart of lush green landscapes and natural luxuriance, is a unique cluster of exclusive villaments. Its functional infrastructure is designed to ensure seamless integration of modern amenities and thoughtful features. The students explored sustainable architecture, natural building materials, and eco-friendly design practices. The serene environment allowed the students to observe how nature and design can harmoniously coexist. Hands-on sessions and guided tours deepened their understanding of green living concepts. The visit inspired the students to incorporate sustainability into their future interior design projects.


Design Innovation Project Exhibition (DIPEX) 2025
DIPEX is a state-level exhibition of innovative projects organized by the prestigious College of Engineering, Pune (COEP). This annual event brings together young minds and serves as a platform for budding innovators to showcase their knowledge, skills, and ideas. The level of thought, research, and effort that students invest in their projects is truly inspiring. Participants were amazed by the variety and depth of the projects on display, and the exhibition offered valuable learning opportunities—encouraging students to incorporate innovative ideas into their own design work.


Visit to A & I Digest Annual Design Exhibition
Students visited the A & I Digest Annual Design Exhibition, a vibrant showcase of creativity and innovation. They explored work panels by renowned architects and interior designers, gaining insight into diverse design approaches. The exhibition offered a glimpse into current industry trends, materials, and presentation styles. Students also interacted with vendors at product stalls, learning about the latest in furnishings, finishes, and technology. The experience bridged academic learning with professional exposure and real-world applications. It was an inspiring and informative visit that broadened their design perspective and industry understanding.


Visit to Koskii Garments
Interior Design students visited the Koskii women’s clothing store in Pune to study retail store interior design.
They observed the store’s layout, lighting, and material choices that enhanced the shopping experience. Attention was given to display techniques, color coordination, and space utilization for customer engagement. The students explored how branding and interior design work together to create a strong visual identity. They interacted with store personnel to understand practical aspects of design in a commercial setting. The visit provided valuable insights into retail aesthetics, & functionality.



Visit to Family Interiors Design Expo 2024
The students visited the Family Interiors Annual Design Exhibition, a dynamic platform showcasing industry excellence. They explored impressive work panels by architects and interior designers, learning about design innovation and trends. Product stalls by various vendors introduced them to new materials, finishes, and technologies in the market. A striking bamboo entrance set the tone, promoting sustainable design and raising awareness about climate change. The students appreciated the integration of eco-friendly practices with contemporary design solutions. It was an enriching experience that deepened their understanding of responsible and forward-thinking design.


Heritage Walk
Interior Design students participated in a heritage walk from Shaniwar Wada to Vishrambaug Wada, Pune. The walk aimed to connect them with Pune’s rich architectural history and cultural roots. Students observed traditional Wada architecture, intricate woodwork, and spatial planning techniques. Experts shared insights on heritage conservation and the relevance of historical design in modern times. The experience sparked appreciation for local craftsmanship and design evolution through the ages. It was a meaningful journey that blended history, architecture, and learning in a memorable way.


Visit to Unbuilt Exploration Expo
The exhibition, aptly named Unbuilt Exploration, centers on the creative works and design philosophy of Ar. Prasanna Morey, Founder & Principal Architect of PMA Madhushala, Pune. It showcases two of his unrealized projects, which epitomize Ar.Prasanna’s conceptual essence, embodying his unadulterated thoughts and ideas, untethered by the constraints of construction. Guided by the theme of unpinned expressions, the students were engaged with ideas rooted in philosophy and innovation. This experience emphasized the importance of process over product in design. It was a thought-provoking visit that encouraged students to embrace abstract thinking in their creative journey.


Visit to Birla Opus Paints
Students visited the Opus Paint Display for an interactive learning experience. They explored a variety of paints, textures, and finishes, gaining insight into current design trends. The Opus team shared valuable tips on application techniques and the role of color in interiors.
The visit helped them connect classroom knowledge with real-world materials and design choices.
It was an inspiring and eye-opening experience that added a creative spark to their learning journey.
